How to Import Lyric Videos into ProPresenter (Step-by-Step Guide)
If your church uses ProPresenter for Sunday services, adding lyric videos is one of the most impactful upgrades you can make to your worship experience. This guide walks you through exactly how to import lyric video files — whether you've downloaded them from Talesoft Digital or another provider.
What You'll Need
Before you start, make sure you have:
- ProPresenter 6 or 7 installed on your Mac or PC
- Your lyric video file downloaded (MP4 format, 1080p or 4K)
- A few minutes before your next service
Step 1: Download Your Lyric Video File
After purchasing from Talesoft Digital, download your MP4 file from your order confirmation email or your account downloads page. Save it to a dedicated folder — something like /Documents/Worship Media/Lyric Videos/ keeps things organised.
Step 2: Open ProPresenter and Navigate to Your Library
Open ProPresenter and click on the Library panel on the left side. This is where all your presentation content lives.
Step 3: Import the Video File
There are two ways to import:
Method A — Drag and Drop (Fastest): Simply drag your MP4 file from Finder (Mac) or File Explorer (Windows) directly into the ProPresenter Library panel. ProPresenter will automatically create a new media item.
Method B — Via the Media Bin:
- Click the Media tab at the top of ProPresenter
- Select Add to Media Bin
- Browse to your downloaded MP4 file and click Open
Step 4: Add the Video to a Slide or Cue
Once imported, you can:
- Drag the video directly onto a slide as a background
- Add it as a Cue in your service order so it plays at the right moment
- Use the Video Input feature to loop it during pre-service
Step 5: Set Looping (Optional)

Create sub-folders in your Media Bin for each sermon series or month. This saves significant time when you're building Sunday's presentation at 9pm on Saturday night.
Troubleshooting
- Video won't play? Check that your graphics card drivers are up to date. ProPresenter relies heavily on GPU acceleration.
- Audio out of sync? Re-download the file — occasionally downloads can corrupt. MP4 files from Talesoft Digital are tested before delivery.
- Wrong resolution? Make sure you downloaded the correct resolution variant (1080p or 4K) for your projector setup.
